y	Use "y" to replace "à + place" or or à + abstract idea (locations, thoughts, habits, etc.) or other prepositions of place (except "de").
Je pense à lui.	I'm thinking about him.

Il pense à son avenir. /av(ə)niʀ/	He's thinking about his future.
- Il y pense.	- He's thinking about it.
Arrête de penser au passé.	Stop thinking about the past.
- Arrête d'y penser.	- Stop thinking about it.
On est presque à l’hôtel.	We are almost at the hotel.
- On y est presque.	We are almost there.
Réfléchis à l’idée et dis-le-moi.	Think about the idea and let me know.
- Réfléchis-y et dis-le-moi.	- Think about it and let me know.
Si tu vas à la fête, je viens avec toi.	If you are going to the party, I'll come with you.
- Si t'y vas, je viens avec toi.	- If you are going, I will come with you.
J'ai hâte d’être à Paris.	I can't wait to be in Paris.
- J'ai hâte d'y être.	- I can't wait to be there.
Je m'habitue à cette situation. /abitɥ/ /sitɥasjɔ̃/	I'm getting used to this situation.
- Je m'y habitue.	- I'm getting used to it.
Tout le monde va au concert. /kɔ̃sɛʀ/	Everybody is going to the concert.
- Tout le monde y va.	- Everybody is going there.
On peut aller chez Costco.	We can go to Costco.
- On peut y aller.	- We can go there.
Il est dans le jardin.	He's in the garden.
- Il y est.	- He's there.
